Former National Security Adviser Susan Rice, of “it was because of a YouTube video” fame, apparently sent an email to herself on the day of Donald Trump’s inauguration about a January 5 meeting with President Obama and other key staff members.
In the email she sent to herself she wrote that she was reluctant to share Russian intelligence with the in-coming Trump team and reassured (herself?) that everything that had to do with the Russia issue would be carried out, “by the book.” I can now see CNN anchors declaring that it must be true if she emailed it to herself.
PJ Media reports: “President Obama began the conversation by stressing his continued commitment to ensuring that every aspect of this issue is handled by the Intelligence and law enforcement communities ‘by the book’. The President stressed that he is not asking about, initiating or instructing anything from a law enforcement perspective,” Rice wrote. “He reiterated that our law enforcement team needs to proceed as it normally would by the book.”
According to her email Barack Obama made these comments after a briefing on, “Russian hacking during the election,” with Rice, FBI Director James Comey, Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates, Vice President Joe Biden. The usual suspects. Was this the starting point of the Obama “deep state” operation against Donald Trump?
Sen.s Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) released the email Monday as part of a letter they sent to Rice on February 8.
“It strikes us as odd that, among your activities in the final moments on the final day of the Obama administration, you would feel the need to send yourself such an unusual email purporting to document a conversation involving President Obama and his interactions with the FBI regarding the Trump/Russia investigation,” Grassley and Graham wrote in their letter to Rice.
“In addition, despite your claim that President Obama repeatedly told Mr. Comey to proceed ‘by the book,’ substantial questions have arisen about whether officials at the FBI, as well as at the Justice Department and the State Department, actually did proceed ‘by the book,’” the senators added.
Coming from a woman who knowingly lied to the American people about the 2012 Benghazi terror attacks being the result of a YouTube video that mocked Muhammad where even State Department personnel were horrified by her remarks, it doesn’t appear a stretch to believe that she wrote that email, again to herself, to cover up something that must not have been “by the book.”
Judge Andrew Napolitano said, it appeared to be “an effort by Susan Rice to reconstruct history.”
The judge went on to say that Rice wanted to make Obama appear to be “ignorant” of the “fray fomented by his administration to undermine the incoming president.”
And don’t forget when Rice declared that the unmasking of Trump campaign workers had no political motivations: “This is not anything political as has been alleged,” Rice said. “The allegation is that somehow Obama administration officials utilized intelligence for political purposes. That is absolutely false.” Yet it was later discovered that the unmasking was used for political purposes, at least to the point where the sheer volume of unmasking raised a log of red flags.
With more and more evidence being discovered and released to the public every week this email is damning proof that the Obama administration was involved in some serious corruption during the 2016 presidential election, and Rice’s email may serve as evidence that they were attempting to cover it up with lies and feigning ignorance. Maybe they should have blamed a YouTube video. They thought it worked for them the last time.
