The Democrats are playing games with our national security. As a response to the House Intelligence Committee’s Nunes memo, Democrats wrote their own memo, and they intentionally included sources and methods that would potentially harm our national security.
The week prior to the release of the Nunes memo multiple prominent Democrats lied to the American people for four days in a row when they claimed that the Nunes memo contained sources and methods that would harm our national security. The only problem for them is… no, it didn’t. Nothing in it impacted national security the slightest bit. To quote former president Barack Obama (my favorite way of announcing him), “not even a smidgen.”
The Democrats in question knew the Nunes memo had nothing that threatened our national security, and only said that it did in an effort to keep the memo from being released. They lied, and the fact that the Nunes memo was on display for any member of Congress to have access to read it, it cannot be spun any other way. The Democrats lied to the American people.
They also knew that the president could not approve the release of their own memo due to them planting things in it that would harm national security. They did that for the sole purpose of blaming Trump of being political.
So, the Democrats are claiming President Trump is being political by responding appropriately to their partisan politics.
As reported by The Hill:
Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, said Tuesday night that members of his party won’t revise their countermemo, despite requests from the White House to do so.
“We’re not going to make any revisions to it. The only question is what redactions will be made. And obviously we’d like to keep those to a minimum,” Schiff told reporters.
“The White House has a different interest. I think their interest is in redacting anything that doesn’t reflect well on the White House,” Schiff added.
How could a man who repeatedly lied about the Nunes memo speak this way about Trump’s reactions to his hit piece memo with a straight face? And how can the mainstream media report it from Schiff’s point of view, again, with a straight face?
The question that should be asked of Democrat voters is how can they accept that Democrats, who took an oath of office to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic, intentionally included things in their memo that the White House described as “especially significant concerns” for “national security and law enforcement interests,” with the intention of covering up abuses of power by high ranking people at the FBI and the Department of Justice?
And remember, if it smells like Schiff, flush.
